During the summer of 2024 I interned as a Propulsion Test Engineer at Relativity Space at NASA Stennis facility. While there, I was the responsible engineer for multiple projects on the R1 and A2 test stands. A2 is a test stand from the 1960’s that was used for the Saturn II stage testing as well as SSME testing that is being completely refitted for Terran R stage testing. R1 is a dual bay engine test stand built by Relativity from the ground up for high rate engine testing.

My primary focus was on human rated structures for the test stands. I was assigned multiple projects where I performed the design and analysis work necessary to meet requirements. I then successfully took my work through design review, created engineering drawings, oversaw sourcing and manufacturing, before finally installing the structure onto the test stand. Some of the structures I designed can be seen in the image below (Relativity has not publicly released close up images of my structures):

I also developing calculators (fluid and structural applications), performed FEA on large steel weldments, and wrenched on both test stand and flight-like hardware. I completed forklift, LOTO, and fall protection trainings.
